I’m very pleased to be able to make an incredible announcement! Alpha Divers has finally achieving a long awaited goal… THE PADI 5 Star Career Development Centre status.

You may not know the difference from one PADI Centre to another except for the location, equipment, staff, or the general running of a centre but there are actually different levels of diving centres and PADI ensures that all are rated correctly.

All levels from PADI 5 Star Dive Resort up to PADI 5 Star IDC are attained through membership at a cost to the respective diving centres but the award Alpha Divers has just received as a PADI 5 Star Career development Centre is just that, an award.

It is awarded to a diving centre or organisation that has achieved ELITE status and offers additional career training beyond traditional Dive Pro’ training.

We are so very honoured to have received this award and it is a testament to the level of commitment and professionalism that all our staff over the years have applied to their training and time with us. Some of those incredible people have moved on to other parts of the world or other industries, since we have been doing this for over 20 years, but we a so very proud to give a massive shout out to them all and to all the divers and clients that have supported us in this incredible achievement.

Alpha Divers are now the ONLY authorised PADI 5 Star Career Development Centre in Cyprus and one of only four centres awarded this prestigious status in the Mediterranean, the definition of this status is:

The PADI 5 Star Career Development Center (CDC) classification is awarded to PADI Five Star Instructor Development Centres and Five Star Instructor Development Dive Resorts that dedicate their businesses to professional development for dive instructors. These dive shops meet the highest requirements for training PADI Professionals and offer career-oriented programs to prepare scuba diving professionals for employment in the dive industry, as well as offer job placement assistance for program graduates. PADI Five Star CDCs are committed to excellence and provide divers with the opportunity to live the dive lifestyle and the Go Pro ethos… spectacular.
